Lunchtime Session To Offer Career AdviceTo Stressed-Out Lawyers

On Thursday, December 10, the San Francisco Bay ACC chapter will offer a career development session titled From Stressed Out To Fired Up! Strategies to Manage Stress, Get Out of Your Own Way, and Motivate Yourself to Succeed.

The session will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Garden Court Hotel, 520 Cowper Street in Palo Alto.

This discussion is designed for in-house counsel, who spend their days responding to emergencies while handling a multitude of transactions that business clients needed yesterday; they often have no energy left for balancing work lives and personal lives. They are stressed! This program will help attendees identify sources of personal and professional stress and offer specific management techniques and insights into how stress might be holding you back. The faculty will teach a sure-fire approach to using stress to fuel motivation using a lively, interactive format that will provide tools that can turn stress into action.

The three speakers are Ann Tardy, the founder and president of The LifeMoxie Company (she was a corporate attorney for 14 years, ran a corporate legal department and her own law firm); Stephanie Barbour, principal, Barbour Coaching & Consulting and a certified executive coach with 20 years of business experience in the energy, biotech, and financial industries; and Eric Chung, who recently served as the director of Corporate Legal Affairs of Atmel Corporation.
