On Friday, January 16, the Louisiana State Bar Association is hosting a program titled All About the Experts! The class will begin at 8 a.m. with registration and continue until 4:30 p.m. The location for the course is the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel, 500 Canal Street, New Orleans.
Topics will include why to use an expert, selecting and investigating experts, discovery of experts, effectively using experts at trial, and experts as they relate to electronic discovery.
The Louisiana State Bar has compiled its own group of experts to address these topics, including Judy Y. Barrasso, Barrasso, Usdin, Kupperman, Freeman & Sarver, J. Lester Alexander III, AEA Group LLC; Robert A. Kutcher, Chopin, Wagar, Richard & Kutcher; the Honorable Madeleine M. Landrieu, Civil District Court of New Orleans; Eric P. Mandel, Ivize; and Susie Morgan, Phelps Dunbar.
