The Louisiana State Bar Association has scheduled a one-day seminar titled Depositions A-Z for Friday, September 12, at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel, 500 Canal Street, New Orleans.
The program will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour break for lunch.
Tips and strategies on how to execute a successful deposition will be presented by a faculty of seasoned litigators that includes J. Michael Vernon, Bice, Palermo & Vernon LLC; E. Phelps Gay, Christovitch & Kearney, LLP; Wayne J. Lee, Stone Pigman Walther Wittman L.L.C.; and the Hon. Alonzo P. Wilson (ret.) , Bice, Palermo & Vernon LLC.
Topics that will be covered are deposing parties and other fact witnesses, deposing the medical expert, deposing a corporation or business, tips and strategies from a former magistrate, and professionalism in depositions.
