Louisiana Bar Seminar Will Explore Immigration Law

The Louisiana State Bar Association will present a CLE seminar titled Coming to America: Immigration Law.

The program will take place on Friday, February 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel, 500 Canal Street, New Orleans.

Panelists will explore topics such as: Cutting Through the Red Tape: The Immigration and Nationality Act; Working Under the Table: Workplace Enforcement, Documents, Rights and Obligations of Employers and Alien Workers; The Peopling of America: Immigrant and Nonimmigrant Classifications, Numerical Quotas and Issues of Admissibility; America: The Safe Refuge - Law of Asylum, Withholding of Removal, and Relief Under the Convention Against Torture, and Crime & Punishment: Aliens and Crimes; Relief From Removal.

The program co-chairs are Lawrence B. Fabacher, attorney at law, and Kathleen C. Gasparian, The Law Office of David Ware & Associates.
