The Los Angeles County Bar has scheduled its annual Corporate Law Departments Section Annual Meeting and Reception for Thursday, May 28, at the Southwestern University School of Law, 675 South Westmoreland Avenue in Los Angeles.
The meal and reception will run from 6 to 8 p.m., and the program will begin at 7 p.m.
The meeting offers attendees the opportunity to meet other in-house counsel in a relaxed environment. It is an excellent opportunity for Los Angeles-area in-house counsel to become involved in the social, educational, and professional activities that the Corporate Law Departments Section organizes each year.
The evening's featured speaker is John Chiang, the California State Controller. The event will be held in Southwestern Law School's historic Bullock's Wilshire building, considered an Art Deco treasure, and the law school will host historic tours of the building. Appetizers and a complimentary bar are included, and section members and a guest may attend at no charge.
