LegalTech Plans Two-Day West Coast Tech Show

LegalTech has planned its 2011 West Coast Conference for Tuesday and Wednesday, May 17 and 18, at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel, 404 South Figueroa Street in Los Angeles.

Attendees may earn up to 12 CLE credits, attend networking opportunities and enjoy an expansive exhibit hall.On Tuesday morning, keynote presenter David Pashman, legal team leader, Meetup, Inc., will discuss Social Media and the Law, and Tuesday's plenary session, The Corporate Perspective: Why the Legal Industry Needs to Embrace Technology, is provided by LegalTech. Concurrent CLE tracks on Tuesday include Leading Practices in Electronic Discovery; Increased Efficiencies in the Legal Department (designed for in-house counsel); Advanced IT; and Litigation Trends, Technologies, and Innovations.

On Wednesday morning, the keynote presenter is Manny Medrano, a trial attorney and TV broadcaster, who will discuss Trial by Sound Byte: Law in the New Millennium. The plenary session at 12:30 p.m. will cover the View from the Bench - Why the Legal Industry Needs to Change and Embrace Technology, and the four CLE tracks that are scheduled are E-Discovery: The Challenges Created by Today's New Technologies; Records Management; Corporate Law Departments; and Integration of Legal Technology.
