Kristen McDermott Woodrum, an accomplished lawyer and strategic adviser with more than 16 years of experience representing healthcare providers and investors, has joined McGuireWoods’ nationally recognized healthcare practice as a partner in Atlanta.
Woodrum assists private equity investors and their portfolio companies in mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other transactions. She advises health systems and providers on strategic affiliations, physician alignment strategies, and innovative healthcare delivery and payment models, as well as operational and compliance matters.
Woodrum co-chairs the American Health Law Association’s Physicians and Hospitals Law Institute. She also serves on the board of directors of the Southeast Life Sciences Association, a nonprofit trade group that promotes investment and innovation in the region’s life sciences sector.
