The Lawyers Alliance for New York honored two organizations and ten individuals last month with Cornerstone Awards.
The presentations took place on December 13 at a reception at the Pfizer Conference Facility, 235 East 42nd Street, New York City.
This year's institutional honorees were Citigroup Inc. and Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP.
The individual recipients were Corey S. Biller, Davis & Gilbert LLP; Steve Buffone, Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP; Ellen H. The Cornerstone Awards honor outstanding pro bono service to New York nonprofit organizations by members of New York's legal community. Through their efforts, these individuals and firms have helped nonprofit organizations deliver essential human services to strengthen low-income communities and improve the quality of life for thousands of New Yorkers in need.
