Kim M. Keenan, Esq., joins JAMS in Washington, D.C.

JAMS announces the addition of Kim M. Keenan, Esq., to its panel. Ms. Keenan joins JAMS after an impressive career as a nationally known lawyer, mediator and in-house counsel, as well as a recognized leader among multicultural social justice organizations.

Ms. Keenan has had notable success in varied roles, including law firm litigator for 20-plus years, private mediator and general counsel for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the oldest, largest and most recognized grassroots civil rights organization in the world.

Based in the Washington, D.C., Resolution Center, Ms. Keenan will serve as an arbitrator and mediator, handling disputes in employment, intellectual property, professional liability, telecommunications, cybersecurity and privacy, entertainment, civil rights, pharmaceuticals and mass torts, personal injury and real property.

Ms. Keenan is a past president of the District of Columbia Bar and was the 62nd past president of the National Bar Association, the largest coalition of African American lawyers, judges, law professors and law students in the world. She currently serves as the first female co-chair of the Internet Innovation Alliance, a broad-based coalition of business and nonprofit organizations working to ensure that every American has access to broadband internet.

Ms. Keenan received her B.S., International Economics, from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
