Katie Creedon named Chief Legal Talent & Inclusion Officer at Fish & Richardson

Fish & Richardson has named Katie Creedon as its new chief legal talent & inclusion officer. Creedon will have broad responsibilities for leading and managing the firm’s legal recruiting, professional development, DEI, and pro bono teams across Fish’s offices in the United States, Germany, and China.

Before joining Fish, Creedon served as the chief talent & inclusion officer at Wolf, Greenfield & Sacks. She was responsible for establishing and growing the legal recruiting and professional development department and drove the creation and implementation of the firm’s first diversity and inclusion strategic plan.

Creedon also practiced corporate and private investment law in both the U.S. and Europe. With over 20 years of professional experience, Creedon will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing Fish as a leading employer for legal staff in IP.

“At Fish, we have a strong commitment to our talent and prioritizing diversity at all levels,” said John C. Adkisson, president and chief executive officer of Fish. “With her background and depth of experience, Katie will bring new insights and play a key role on our management team.”

“Katie’s wealth of experience in talent management, familiarity with IP, leadership in DEI strategies, and unique educational background in STEM coupled with an MBA/JD, makes her an excellent addition to Fish,” added Kristine McKinney, Fish’s chief operating officer and former chief legal talent and inclusion officer.

“I am excited to join the world’s top IP law firm and lead the advancement of Fish’s strategic initiatives to promote a diverse and inclusive firm where all team members can thrive,” stated Creedon. “Throughout my career, I have been a passionate advocate for creating an environment where the brightest talent can grow personally and professionally, and I’m excited for the opportunity that lies ahead.”

Creedon is a member of the National Association for Law Placement (NALP), Professional Development Consortium (PDC), and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She also holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification. Creedon received her B.A. from the University of South Florida and her MBA and J.D. from Georgetown University.
