Jones Day Seminar Focus: Corporate Governance

The Jones Day law firm is sponsoring an executive roundtable that will examine the best practices in corporate governance and leadership.

On Wednesday, June 9, the seminar will be held at the offices of Jones Day at 51 Louisiana Avenue, NW in Washington, DC. The discussion begins at 8:00 a.m. and adjourns at 10:00 a.m.

The roundtable will look at the lessons learned and the best practices in corporate governance and compliance since the passage of Sarbanes-Oxley eight years ago. The speakers will examine public and nonpublic company efforts, as well as nonprofits and government agency leadership efforts involved in governance and compliance issues. The focus will be on recent changes and the room for improvement. Attendees will learn of the latest approaches to board member recruitment, training and compliance.

The panel will be moderated by Jones Day Washington partner Andrew Sherman, and a special guest to be announced will participate in the panel along with Lizanne Thomas of Jones Day's Atlanta office.
