Jonathan French Appointed Vice President and General Counsel at Sky Lakes

Sky Lakes Medical Center has announced Jonathan (Jon) French as its new vice president and general counsel, effective Nov. 18. French joins the senior leadership team after a national search and will oversee all legal affairs and provide counsel on Sky Lakes' strategic direction.

With extensive experience in both health care and law, French most recently served as a health care partner at Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt in Portland – where he represented hospitals, health systems, and health care providers. He also previously served as Chief Legal Officer at Jefferson Healthcare in Port Townsend, WA, providing strategic legal leadership for the independent community health system.

“We are excited to welcome Jon to Sky Lakes and the Klamath Basin,” said David Cauble, CEO of Sky Lakes. “His leadership, healthcare expertise, and community-focused approach will be instrumental in advancing our Transformation 2030 strategic plan.”

A U.S. Navy veteran, French served as an attorney lieutenant in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG) with deployments to Iraq and the Persian Gulf. He earned his J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law, an M.B.A. from the University of Washington, and a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.

“I’m honored to join such a community-driven organization,” said French. “My family and I are excited to make the Klamath Basin our home.”
