John Hutar Joins DLA Piper as Partner

DLA Piper is pleased to welcome John Hutar as a partner in the firm’s Corporate Practice. He will be based in the firm’s Palo Alto office.

Mr. Hutar’s practice focuses on corporate and securities law, primarily on advising high-growth technology companies, including in pre-incorporation planning, general corporate financing, venture capital financings, and mergers and acquisitions. He also represents venture capital funds, growth equity funds and strategic investors in transactions.

Mr. Hutar advises emerging growth companies at every stage of their corporate lifecycle. His notable experience includes advising a software delivery platform company in its US$230 million Series D financing round; representing an online analytical processing database management system in its US$250 million Series B financing round; and representing a semiconductor-based connectivity solutions provider in its US$50 million Series C financing round, US$150 million Series D financing round and US$774 million initial public offering.
