With a 25-year track record of successfully guiding health care-related acquisitions, affiliations and divestitures for a wide range of health systems and other health care organizations, Tichner brings his depth of experience with health care transactions and regulatory compliance to Manatt’s robust bench of dealmakers, consultants and litigators.

Tichner represents health care stakeholders—including hospitals, health systems and health industry investors—in a broad range of transactional matters, including platform/system sales, add-on and divestiture transactions, mergers, joint ventures and affiliations. With particular and deep experience in hospital system mergers, sales, affiliations and acquisitions and similar private equity transactions, Tichner is a prolific and highly respected dealmaker. In recent years Jerry has led or played a leading role in the acquisition, sale or affiliation of more than 35 hospitals, and the platform development, acquisition and divestiture of multi-state hospice, home health and other providers. In recognition of his achievements, Tichner has consistently been recognized on industry-leading lists including the Chambers USA Guide, The Legal 500 United States guide and The Best Lawyers in America.

Tichner received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where he was the Executive Editor of the American Journal of Law & Medicine, and his B.A. in political science, economics and management from the University of Rochester.
