Proskauer, a leading international law firm, today announced that it has welcomed Jennifer “Jen” Crystal as a partner in its Private Funds group in New York. Jen joins from venture capital firm WndrCo Capital Management (“WndrCo”) and brings more than 15 years of legal experience to Proskauer with particular expertise in private credit and venture capital funds.
“Jen is a wonderful addition to Proskauer and current and prospective clients will no doubt benefit from her arrival. She has a unique perspective and deep business and legal acumen that she will be able to leverage on their behalf. I’m pleased to welcome her to the Firm,” said Tim Mungovan, Chair of Proskauer.
“I have known Jen for many years and she is a remarkable lawyer. Her work across funds, particularly private credit funds, will only strengthen our cross‑practice team of Private Funds, Private Credit and Fund Finance lawyers. I am thrilled to have her join us,” added Howard Beber, co‑head of the Firm’s Private Funds Group.
As General Counsel of WndrCo, Jen oversaw and advised on all legal activities of the technology‑focused firm, including fund formation and fundraising, firm operations, structuring and execution of investments and divestitures, portfolio company management and risk assessment. “Today’s fundraising environment is full of challenges – from regulatory to liquidity – and GPs and LPs need creative solutions, which is why Proskauer stands out. Their market‑leading reputation and entrepreneurial approach made it ideal for me as I thought about transitioning to a law firm. I am excited to apply my expertise to serve Proskauer’s clients and work with the team,” said Jen.
Jen received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania, College of Arts and Sciences and her Juris Doctor & LL.M. from Duke University School of Law.
