Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to welcome Jason Plowman as a shareholder in the firm’s Salt Lake City office. Plowman joins the firm from Polsinelli, where he was a shareholder and co-chair of their Employment Class & Collective Actions practice group.
Plowman’s practice focuses on employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour matters, in both the single-plaintiff context as well as in class actions, collective actions, and multi-plaintiff litigation. He represents clients in myriad industries, including gaming, telecommunications, manufacturing, insurance, healthcare, and retail, among others. Plowman also regularly partners with clients to deliver practical solutions regarding federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations ranging from Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) administration and reasonable accommodations to reductions in force and Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act compliance.

Plowman is actively involved in his local and legal communities, including currently serving as the Vice President of the Open Adoption & Family Services Board of Directors and previously sitting on the Board of Directors for the National LGBT Bar Association and Wonderscope Children’s Museum. He has also earned recognition for his legal prowess, including being named a “Rising Star” by Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers and to the Best LGBT Lawyers Under 40 list by the National LGBT Bar Association.
Plowman earned his J.D., cum laude, from Washington University in St. Louis and his B.A., cum laude, from Miami University.
