JAMS promotes Kimberly Taylor to president

JAMS announces that Kimberly Taylor, Esq., has been promoted from chief legal and operating officer to president, effective April 1.

In her new role, Ms. Taylor will be responsible for overall operations at the organization, with oversight of business functions including panel relations, marketing and practice development, Resolution Center operations and human resources. She will work closely with Chief Executive Officer Chris Poole and Chief Financial Officer Nate Brooks to handle the implementation of policies and strategy.

Ms. Taylor joined JAMS in 1999 as general manager and has since served as vice president and associate general counsel and, most recently, as senior vice president and chief legal and operating officer. Her roles have included overseeing regional growth and expansion efforts, developing neutral and staff training, overseeing operations in the United States and abroad, and working with JAMS General Counsel Sheri Flame Eisner to manage overall risk of the company. She is a frequent writer, lecturer and speaker, and has developed ADR programs for business and government agencies. Taylor serves as co-chair on the board of the International Mediation Institute.

Prior to joining JAMS, Taylor practiced law in Ventura County, Calif. She earned her J.D. from Ventura College of Law. She is a member of the California State Bar.
