Internal Investigations Covered In Two-Day Workshop By The Society Of Corporate Compliance And Ethics

Effective Internal Investigations for Compliance Professionals will be presented by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) on Thursday and Friday, November 10 and 11.

It will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday at the Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf, 2500 Mason Street in San Francisco.

The faculty will provide attendees with practical guidance and training in conducting effective workplace investigations. Topics include how investigations fit into the context of compliance programs; setting policies and guidelines for conducting effective investigations; how to plan an investigation; gathering documentary evidence; conducting effective interviews; forensics and electronic documents; investigation pitfalls and how to avoid them; preparing the report; and discipline, follow up and closing the loop.

Among the faculty are Latour Lafferty, practice leader, Fowler White Boggs P.A.; Al Gagne, Ethics & Compliance, Textron Systems Corporation; and Andy Teichholz, director, Discovery Services, Navigant Consulting Inc. They will participate, with others, in an investigations roundtable, which wraps up the program on Friday and allows attendees a chance to ask the experts questions.
