Innovative Negotiation Program Offered By Vermont Bar Association

On Wednesday, September 29, the Vermont Bar Association presents a live seminar focusing on negotiation titled Innovations in Negotiation: Creating Productive Opportunities for Settlement.

The seminar will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will adjourn at 4:30 p.m. and is located at the Windjammer Conference Center, 1076 Williston Road in South Burlington, Vermont.

This program is a hands-on participatory workshop where attendees will gain an understanding of their own negotiating style and learn how to leverage the inherent strengths in their approach to problem solving.Practitioners will learn to read and respond to verbal and non-verbal signals, the benefits of active listening, and how to frame good questions. The faculty will use role play based on common scenarios to teach the common negotiation pitfalls and how to avoid them. Each participant will be given individual coaching during the process to assist with uncertainty in collaborating with others.

The presenters are Julian Hoyt and Alfred Mills, founding partners, RiverStone Resolutions LLC.
