Indiana Conference Explores Advanced Insurance Law

The Indiana State Bar Continuing Legal Education Forum will offer an advanced Masters Series for practitioners interested in insurance law. The program will be held Saturday and Sunday, July 17 and 18, at the French Lick Springs Resort and Casino, 8670 W. State Road 56 in French Lick, Indiana.

The conference begins Saturday and Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. and adjourns at12:15 p.m.

The topics will include insurance company remedies for fraud and misrepresentation by insureds; "occurrence" and late notice under Tri-Etch and Dreaded, Inc; choice of law and venue issues - reconciling coverage differences among state and international jurisdictions. This will be followed by a "grab bag" discussion of recent and pending insurance cases, including but not limited to agent E & O, commercial and construction insurance, environmental coverage and employment practices. A Friday afternoon ethics program, Pardon the Interruption, followed by a hosted reception will end the event.
