Illinois CLE Presents The Wartime Lawyer

On Tuesday, June 22, The Illinois Institute of Continuing Education is holding a topical course entitled the Wartime Lawyer - When Law Goes to War.

The program will be located in the UBS Tower, 1 North Wacker Drive, Chicago. It will begin at 8:25 a.m. and end at 12:45 p.m.

Attendees will explore ethical and philosophical questions raised by war and questions such as, do the circumstances of wartime alter the attorney's professional responsibility to his or her client or the justice system?

Attendees will explore these questions by viewing two films that probe the law and wartime activities.The first film will be Judgment at Nuremburg, followed by Breaker Morant.

The Hon. Stuart H. Shiffman, adjunct professor, University of Illinois, will lead the discussions.
