Igor Kukhta, an advisor to various actors in private credit transactions and other leveraged financings, joins Orrick as a partner in Paris.
Igor represents private credit lenders, special situations funds, corporations, private equity funds and banks in leveraged acquisition financings (with a specific focus on private credit), special situations and distressed financings, corporate credit facilities, debt restructurings and other debt financings.
Igor will collaborate closely with Aurélien Loric, head of Orrick’s French Restructuring team. The pair have worked together on several matters over the past decade, including acting as co-advisors for the group of unsecured creditors on the landmark financial restructuring for French care home operator Orpea last year.
Most recently with Willkie Farr & Gallagher, Igor joins Orrick along with two associates. He is the third partner to join Orrick’s European Private Credit team this year, following the additions of Manaf Triqui in Paris and Mae Morter in London.
Orrick’s Paris Finance team now includes 6 partners and 14 counsel and associates, covering all areas of private credit transactions.
“I’ve experienced firsthand the strategic thinking and business understanding that Igor brings to navigating complex financial situations,” said Aurélien. “He has a strong record advising some of the most sophisticated players in today’s market. With Igor, we now offer complete solutions for funds in their debt financing strategies.”
“I am impressed by the top-quality talent Orrick has assembled in restructuring, structured finance, debt capital markets, venture financings and project financings in Paris, and I’m excited to join this entrepreneurial team to provide creative solutions for clients as the French private credit market continues to grow,” said Igor.
