How The Legal Profession Is Using Computer Applications

The Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) this month has scheduled a CLE seminar titled Thinking Outside the Box in a Technical World.

The program will take place on Thursday, March 22 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the LACBA Conference Center, 281 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles.

Videoconferencing is the vehicle that is streamlining the way the legal profession is conducting business today. Video court appearances, depositions, interviewing expert witnesses, trials, video arraignments and working with clients and colleagues are some of the applications that are available with videoconferencing. In this seminar, attendees will learn how the various applications are being used in the legal profession; how they can conduct business from their desktop, and the security, legal ethics and confidentiality issues with videoconferencing.

Speakers for the session are still to be announced.
