Several upcoming public service programs will give lawyers in the Houston area the opportunity to offer free legal advice: they will answer simple legal questions, give brief legal advice, or refer the caller to the appropriate social service agency for further assistance.
LegalLine, sponsored by the Houston Bar Association, and Consejos Legales, sponsored by the Mexican Bar Association of Houston and the Hispanic Bar Association, will be offering legal assistance at the following times and dates: LegalLine will be held on Wednesday, July 6, and on Wednesday, July 20, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Consejos Legales, for Spanish-speaking callers, will be held on Thursday, July 7, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
