The Houston Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America will conduct a joint pro bono program on Tuesday, October 9 with the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program (HVLP).
From 2:30 to 6 p.m., participants will interview HVLP clients who have already passed the income eligibility requirements. The interview/screening process will be a fact gathering process without providing legal advice. The information gathered will be used to determine what type of case and issues are involved and will be used later by another lawyer from the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program who will be assigned to the client.
