The Houston Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America and the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program (HVLP) are jointly planning a pro bono event.
The session will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, September 8 at the Spring Branch Family Development Center, Houston.
Participants will interview HVLP clients who have already passed the income eligibility requirements. The interview/screening will be a fact-gathering process without providing legal advice. The information gathered will be used to determine what type of case and issues are involved and will be used later by another volunteer lawyer who is assigned to the client.
A reception will be held after the event. ACC members who participate will be eligible for a prize drawing later in the year.
