The Houston Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America and Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program (HVLP) are planning a joint pro bono project for May 8.
The program will take place from 2:30 to 6 p.m. at the HVLP offices, 712 Main Street, 27th Floor, Houston.
Participants will interview HVLP clients who have already passed the income eligibility requirements. The interview/screening process will be a fact gathering process without providing legal advice. The information gathered will be used to determine what type of case and issues are involved and will be used later by another volunteer lawyer who is assigned to the client. A reception will be held after the event.
