Hot Legal Issues In "Technotainment" Topic Of California Seminar

On Wednesday, September 21, PLI will hold a daylong seminar, Technology and Entertainment Convergence 2011: Hot Business and Legal Issues in "Technotainment."

It will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the PLI California Center, 685 Market Street in San Francisco.

PLI has completely revised this year's program to include today's major legal and business issues in the convergence of entertainment and technology. An expert faculty will explore trends in social media, current marketing trends and related legal issues, cutting-edge strategies for dealing with infringements, licensing film and TV content to new media, the evolution of product placement deals and related issues, and recent key cases involving convergence issues. This program will be especially pertinent for in-house counsel and law firm attorneys who counsel television, radio, film, entertainment, technology, interactive media, telecommunications, Internet, or game companies. Attorneys who practice in copyright, trademark, licensing, advertising and litigation should also attend.

Among the faculty are Stephen M. Fronk, Sidley Austin LLP; Mark D. Litvack, Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP; and Christopher R. Lockard, The Clorox Company.
