On Wednesday, September 22, the Practising Law Institute will hold a seminar titled Technology and Entertainment Convergence 2010: Hot Business and Legal Issues in "Technotainment" at the PLI CA Center, 685 Market Street in San Francisco.
It will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Designed for both in-house counsel and law firm attorneys who counsel television, radio, video, film, entertainment, technology, interactive media, telecommunications, and Internet or game companies, this completely revised program includes current legal and business issues in the convergence of entertainment and technology. An expert faculty will explore new copyright and licensing litigation; the current state of the digital music business model and legal issues; how technology continues to shape entertainment deals; virtual worlds, virtual goods and virtual currencies legal issues; the growth of games beyond consoles; and the latest on character and publicity rights. This one-day program will teach practitioners all they need to know to maintain an edge in their practice.
