Fox Rothschild is pleased to welcome Gerald “Jerry” T. Hathaway to our Atlantic City office as a partner in the Labor & Employment Department.
“Jerry plays a pivotal role in the due diligence for major corporate deals, often saving clients millions of dollars by identifying hidden labor risks,” said Eileen Oakes Muskett, Managing Partner of the firm’s Atlantic City office. “He also has a keen sense of how artificial intelligence is impacting the workplace and will be a tremendous addition to our AI team.”
Hathaway’s clients include private equity sponsors and funds, manufacturing and logistic companies, talent management companies and talent agencies, and major entertainment studios and networks. He also represents companies in the luxury goods, staffing, logistics, transportation, retail, real estate and insurance industries.
He has decades of experience in collective bargaining, resolving workplace disputes and risk management. He practices before the EEOC and the NLRB and defends class actions and individual lawsuits in the federal and state courts.
In his pro bono work, Hathaway handles labor and employment matters for The Apollo Theater in Harlem and Black Theatre United. He also provides pro bono services for The Ali Forney Center and TakeRoot Justice. He is active with the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts’ Counsel’s Council in New York City.
Hathaway is a fellow of both the American Bar Association and the New York Bar Foundation. Since 2019, he has been ranked by Chambers USA for Labor and Employment in New York.
He earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he now serves on the school’s Board of Visitors, and his B.A. from La Salle University.
