Georgia ACC To Host In-House Institute

In a three-day program titled ACC New to In-House Institute, the Georgia chapter of the American Corporate Counsel will host new to in-house counsel at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, 265 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta. The conference begins Sunday, May 17, with registration at 4:00 p.m. and a reception following from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. On Monday, May 18, the program will begin at 8:00 a.m. and continue until 6:00 p.m. with a reception following. On the final day, Tuesday, May 19, the program begins at 8:00 a.m. and concludes at 5:45 p.m.

Working in-house requires legal professionals to wear three hats: legal counselor, business partner, and guardian of the corporation. Lawyers new to these roles will have to learn all about their particular business, adapt to a different culture, become cost-effective, develop good working relationships with clients, and understand non-legal topics such as risk management.

Sponsoring this important program will be Jackson Lewis LLP, Kilpatrick Stockton LLP and Lex Mundi.
