Georgetown Law Update - International Trade

On Wednesday, February 24 through Friday, February 26, Georgetown University Law Center presents Trade Law and Customs Law - Basics You Need to Know, and International Trade Update 2010.

These seminars will be held at Georgetown University Law Center, Hart Auditorium, 600 New Jersey Ave, NW, Washington, DC.

Wednesday's program runs from 3:30 until 5:30 p.m., Thursday's sessions begin at 8:00 a.m. for registration and breakfast and end at 5:00 p.m., and on Friday, classes start at 8:00 a.m. and will end at 4:00 p.m.

This intensive three-day program will focus on all aspects and recent developments in international and other trade issues. Participants will be provided with critical knowledge, skills and marketing ideas for their practice in international trade and customs law and will explore in detail basics for litigating and handling customs and trade matters.

Expert panelists will range from experienced lawyers, government officials and experts from the WTO and World Customs Organization (WCO). Among the distinguished faculty are Paul C. Rosenthal, Kelley Drye & Warren LLP; Hon. Ronald Kirk, U.S. trade representative, Office of the U.S. Trade Representative; Hon. Gary F. Locke, secretary of commerce, U.S. Dept of Commerce; M. Jean Anderson Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP; Jeffrey M. Telep King & Spalding LLP; and Professor John H. Jackson of Georgetown University Law Center.
