Fordham Law School Schedules Annual International Antitrust Seminar

The Fordham University Law School will present its 34th Annual Conference on International Antitrust Law & Policy.

The gathering will take place on Thursday and Friday, September 27 and 28 at the Pope Auditorium, Fordham University, New York City. Sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

Discussion topics will include Convergence, Conflict and Comity: The Search for Coherence in International Policy; Conglomerate Mergers and Vertical Mergers - A U.S. Perspective; Conglomerate Mergers and Vertical Mergers - A European Perspective; Vertical Integration: Unbundling in the Energy Sector; Remedies and Sanctions for Unlawful Conduct, and Oligopolies and Competition Law.

Among the speakers are Barry Hawk, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP; the Hon. Deborah Platt Majoras, chairman, U.S. Federal Trade Commission; Joe Sims, Jones Day; the Hon. Thomas O. Barnett, assistant attorney general, Antitrust Division, U.S. Department of Justice, and David L. Walsh, vice president and assistant general counsel, IBM Corp.
