FL Bar Plans International Tax Conference

The Florida Bar Association this month has scheduled its 25th Annual International Tax Conference.

The two-day program will take place on Thursday and Friday, January 25 and 26 at the J.W. Marriott Hotel, 1109 Brickell Avenue, Miami, FL. Sessions run from 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. on day one and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. on day two.

Some of the topics to be examined include: Foreigners Investing in U.S. Real Property and Restructuring Existing Structures in an Effort to Improve the Potential U.S. Tax Consequences; Treaty Developments and Inbound Planning Structures Utilizing Treaties Without Limitation on Benefits Provisions; International Tax Issues Relating to the Multinational Executive Being Transferred Abroad and/or the United States, and Miscellaneous Current International Tax Civil and Criminal Procedural Issues - What You Don't Know CAN Hurt You.

Among the speakers are William M. Sharp, Sharp & Associates, P.A.; Jeffrey L. Rubinger, Holland & Knight LLP, and Geoffrey C. Thomas, International Internal Revenue Service.
