Federal Publications Presents Federal Appropriations And Fiscal Law

On Wednesday and Thursday, January 13 and 14, Federal Publications Seminars will present a program on Federal Appropriations and Fiscal Law. The live event will be held at the AMA Conference Center, 2345 Crystal Drive, Arlington, VA. Each day the sessions will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m.

This program will be of special interest to marketing professionals, strategic planners, and acquisition professionals who track high-dollar programs, from proposal to authorization to appropriation. Participants will gain comprehensive training on the key principles of federal appropriations and fiscal law. The program will cover fiscal law principles that private industry and government personnel must know. Contracts will be examined from the entire budgetary process, from submission to contract for payment, and how it goes forward and evolves at each step. The faculty will examine how violations of the Antideficiency Act are identified, reported and investigated, changes in the process due to the acquisition streamlining statutes, and the impact of federal appropriations law on the rights of contractors.

The featured presenter, Kenneth J. Allen, general counsel of Business Growth Associates, is a noted attorney and trainer in the government contracting realm. With a reputation drawing from decades of experience on both the contracting and attorney sides, Mr. Allen will explain these complex and necessary regulations in a style that will benefit participants at all skill levels.
