Ethics For In-House Counsel

On Wednesday, April 7, The Wolf Institute will present a seminar intended for in-house counsel on the rules of professional conduct as they relate to the in-house practice of law.

The program will be held at The WolfInstitute Training Center, 1650 Arch Street, 22nd Floor, Philadelphia, beginning at 9 a.m. and adjourning at noon.

Patrick Matusky and Jonathan A. Segal, both of WolfBlock, will be the leaders of this program on a topic so vital to in-house counsel. Topics for discussion include inadvertent unauthorized practice of law, the risks of conflicts of interest with regard to informal advice given to individual constituents, navigating the risky realities of dual capacity when participating in senior management or board meetings and when conducting or supervising internal investigations, balancing preservation obligations against retaliation risks when the complaint is by a current employee, and the challenge of reporting on a client who also happens to be your employer.
