Ernst & Young has announced that it will co-sponsor the fourth annual Compliance Week conference on Wednesday, June 3 to Friday, June 5 in the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC.
The conference will pay special attention to current economic conditions and their impact on compliance programs, financial reporting, enforcement and more. Chief compliance officers at companies that have recently announced layoffs, plant closings, profit reductions and cost-cutting measures will discuss how they are doing more with less.
The opening keynote address on the regulatory agenda will be presented on Wednesday, June 3 at 8:45 a.m. by SEC Commissioner Luis A. Aguilar. On Thursday morning, 4 June, a panel discussion will address the effectiveness of compliance and ethics programs and will explore ways to measure program effectiveness, with an analysis of both qualitative and quantitative measures.
