Armstrong Teasdale announces the addition of Partner Elizabeth O’Donoghue, Ph.D., to the firm’s Trademark practice in Philadelphia.
O’Donoghue has broad experience in all aspects of intellectual property matters and related business issues. She focuses on developing comprehensive and effective domestic and international trademark and copyright portfolios for clients, as well as strategies for enforcement.
She represents a broad range of clients, from individuals and startups to educational institutions and major corporations in industries including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, chemicals, financial, retail, apparel and online businesses. She conducts comprehensive domestic and foreign trademark clearance searches, often on an expected basis, and also achieves favorable outcomes for clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings both domestically and internationally,
O’Donoghue also advises clients in preparing and negotiating assignment, license and confidentiality agreements. Further, she has been involved in a number of internet-based issues including social networking issues, domain name disputes and Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) proceedings.
In addition, O’Donoghue has significant experience in patent preparation and prosecution, international patent portfolio management, as well as reports on patentability, infringement and validity.
