DRI To Focus On E-Discovery At Two-Day Seminar In NYC

On Thursday, May 7 and Friday, May 8, the DRI will sponsor a conference titled Electronic Discovery which will focus on e-discovery issues of the greatest concern to counsel. It will be held at the New York Hilton Hotel at 1335 Avenue of the Americas. The program will commence on the first day at 7:30 a.m. and conclude at 5 p.m.On day two, it will start at 7 a.m. and finish at 1:45 p.m.

Among the speakers will be Adam I. Cohen, FTI Consulting Inc.; Ellis Parry, AstraZeneca; and Ashish S. Prasad, Discovery Services LLC.

The seminar is designed to share the knowledge and experience of industry-leading corporate counsel, outside counsel, and federal magistrate judges who oversee e-discovery disputes in high-stakes cases. As in the past, mock exercises and role playing will be used to emphasize the practical over the theoretical. This seminar is designed to cut through the rhetoric and answer questions about topics such as essential case law updates, emerging e-discovery trends, and EU privacy laws and their increasing impact on U.S. litigation. It will examine defending against overly broad keyword search terms, developing defensible keyword searches, dealing with opposing counsel, and dealing with the court, sanctions and ethics.
