DRI Slates Fire/Casualty Seminar

DRI has scheduled a two-day program titled Fire and Casualty Seminar.

The event will take place on Thursday and Friday, November 1 and 2 at The Westin Chicago River North, 320 North Dearborn Street, Chicago. Sessions will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on day one and from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on day two.

Special emphasis is being placed on defending and mitigating liability claims arising out of fires and explosions by systematic and medical analysis of the damages portion of the case.

The program also will feature topics that address scene investigation, product investigation, fraud and arsons claims, cooktop fires, lithium-ion battery fires, electrical fires and gas fires. An interactive panel discussion has been included to facilitate audience participation.

Among the speakers are Glen E. Amundsen, SmithAmundsen LLC; K. Scott Barnhill, Investigative Forensics Specialists PLLC; John (Jack) Freedenberg, Golden Segalla LLP, and Richard L. Gamelli, M.D., Loyola University Medical Center.
