DRI Slates Employment Seminar In Scottsdale, Arizona

DRI - The Voice of the Defense Bar early next month is planning an Employment Law Seminar.

The program will take place on Wednesday-Friday, May 2-4 at The Westin Kierland, Scottsdale, AZ. Sessions will run from noon to 5 p.m. on day one, from 7:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. on day two and from 7:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on day three.

Presented by DRI's Employment Law Committee, this 30th annual Employment Law Seminar is considered the definitive seminar for employment defense counsel, human resources professionals, in-house counsel and insurance industry professionals. Attendees will learn the latest trends in employment law, including practical application of key human resource techniques.

The seminar includes an Employment Law Primer at the outset of the seminar, free to seminar participants. Attendance at the Primer provides an introductory overview of three key topics: FMLA; "regarded as" disability under the ADA; and "other" federal laws (besides Title VII) that govern employment law disputes.

Among the speakers are J. Al Latham Jr., Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker LLP; Bryan P. Neal, Thompson & Knight LLP; Tracy Poole, Johnson & Johnson, and the Hon. David J. Waxse, U.S. District Court for Kansas.
