DRI Plans San Francisco Seminar On Drug/Medical Device Issues

DRI, The Voice of the Defense Bar, will present its 2007 Drug and Medical Device Seminar.

The event will take place on Thursday and Friday, May 10 and 11 at the San Francisco Marriott, San Francisco. Sessions run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on Friday.

This year's seminar will continue the tradition of offering a combination of live demonstrations of trial techniques by trial lawyers, live demonstrations of jurors' reactions to those techniques with commentary by jury consultants, and cutting-edge presentations by outside and corporate counsel on topics ranging from how to defend a punitive damages case to how to secure the investigators' data needed to convince a jury that the epidemiology study plaintiff relies on is suspect.

The program chair is Jack B. McGowan Jr., Gordon & Rees LLP. Among other speakers are the Hon. Kathleen M. O'Malley, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio; Donald F. (Fritz) Zimmer, Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, and Atiba D. Adams, Pfizer Inc.
