Doing Business In China 2009

The Practising Law Institute has scheduled a program, Doing Business in China 2009, to be held on Thursday, July 16 from 9 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. in the PLI facilities at 810 Seventh Street, NYC.

Lui, Partner, Morrison & Foerster LLP; Michael McGowen, Asia Pacific Counsel, Cabot Corporation; Harry Rubin, Ropes & Gray LLP; Neal R. Stoll, Partner, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP; and Jingzhou Tao, Jones Day.

The faculty will provide guidance on the latest issues including private equity, M&A, foreign direct investment, and the burgeoning antimonopoly law. They will share their experiences in navigating the legal and business landscape in the People's Republic of China.

Participants will learn about private equity and M&A developments, including real estate; antimonopoly law, new guidance from regulatory agencies; cross-border bankruptcy issues; complying with international anti-bribery laws in China; IP licensing; and outsourcing issues.
