The Delaware Valley Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America (DELVACCA) has scheduled a CLE seminar titled The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook for In-House Counsel - Ethics and Compliance Ed.
The program will take place on Tuesday, August 14 from 8:15 to 9:45 a.m. at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, 3400 Chestnut Street, Room 245A, Philadelphia. Registration and breakfast begin at 7:45 a.m.
A panel of experts will offer instructions on how to survive seven ethics and compliance "worst case scenarios" that seem to arise even in the more mundane aspects of operating a business such as: the financial audit, bank statement preparation, e-mail maintenance or job classification. The panelists will also offer their tips on best practices for responding to or preventing ethics and compliance dilemmas with some special attention to the economic realities faced by smaller law departments which may not have the infrastructure or resources available to larger companies.
The program moderator will be Stella Tsai, Christie, Pabarue, Mortensen and Young. Other speakers will include Leonard Deutchman, managing partner and general counsel, LegisDiscovery; Linda Dale Hoffa, chief of the Criminal Division, U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania; Richard Negrin, associate general counsel, Aramark, and James A. Pabarue, Christie Pabarue.
