Delaware Bar Examines Latest Environmental Law

On Wednesday, June 16, the Delaware State Bar Association presents an update on environmental law for 2010. The seminar will be live at the Bar Association offices at 301 N. Market Street in Wilmington, Delaware. It will also be simulcast to the Community Legal Aid Society, Inc. at 840 Walker Road in Dover, Delaware. The sessions will run from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

The program will begin with opening remarks from Mr. David Small, deputy secretary of the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control followed by a panel discussion of coastal zone issues. Participants will be updated on the CAFO Rule/Nutrient Management Regulations presented by Mr. David L. Ormond, Jr. of the Delaware Department of Justice followed by a legislative update by State Representative Thomas H. Kovach. There will be discussion of the latest environmental case law presented by Mr. W. Harding Drane, Jr., of Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP. The seminar will conclude with a presentation by Ms. Sharon Oras Morgan of Fox Rothschild LLP who will talk about green building and sustainability issues.

Other speakers and panelists include Stephanie L. Hansen, Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor LLP; Todd A. Coomes, Richards, Layton & Finger; and Kenneth A. Kristl, Widener University School of Law.
