DC Bar's Leventhal Lecture Features The Honorable Thomas B. Griffith

On Tuesday, November 15, the District of Columbia Bar presents the annual Leventhal Lecture at the United States Court of Appeals, Harold T. Markey National Courts Building at 717 Madison Place, NW in Washington, DC. The lecture begins at noon end ends at 2:00 p.m.

Judge Thomas B. Griffith will deliver the lecture titled Congress in the DC Circuit. The event will commence with a light lunch at historic Tayloe House within the National Courts Building, with the lecture following at 12:15 p.m. in the ceremonial courtroom.

Judge Griffith was appointed to the United States Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit in 2005. Widely respected as a thoughtful jurist, he brings to the bench a unique perspective on Congress - from 1995 through 1999, he served as Senate legal counsel. In that capacity, Judge Griffith represented the interests of the Senate in litigation and advised the Senate leadership and its committees on numerous significant matters.

The moderator is Michael Stern, co-chair, Administrative Law and Agency Practice Section of the DC Bar.
