DC Bar Seminar Will Review Security Clearance Procedures

The DC Bar Association is planning a CLE seminar titled Introduction to Department of Defense Security Clearance Cases.

The program will take place on Thursday, January 10 from 6 to 9:15 p.m. at the DC Bar Conference Center, 1250 H Street, NW, Washington, DC.

This course will provide information on the procedural framework and substantive rules applied to personnel security due process provided by the Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals. This course is recommended for practitioners who represent or anticipate representing military personnel, civilian employees of the Department of Defense or officers or employees of defense contractors who face a decision to deny or revoke their access to classified information. Participants will receive an introduction to security clearance adjudications that will cover the basic steps by which the cases are originated and adjudicated.

The speaker is Peregrine D. Russell-Hunter, chief departmental counsel, U.S. Department of Defense.
