DC Bar Seminar Will ReviewAnti-Spam Regulations

What You Need to Know About Spam Cases: Litigation and Anti-Spam Regulations is the title of a CLE seminar scheduled by the DC Bar Association.

The program will take place on Tuesday, August 28 from 6 to 8:15 p.m. at the DC Bar Conference Center, 1250 H Street, NW, Washington, DC.

The class will focus on the Can-Spam Act of 2003, the FTC's Do-Not-Call Registry, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991, the Junk Fax Protection Act of 2005, and other relevant statutes including Virginia and Maryland laws. Topics to be discussed will include an overview of these regulatory schemes and enforcement trends, tips for the successful litigation of a spam case, advice on how best to protect one's clients from inadvertently violating spam laws, and the constitutionality of anti-spam regulations.

Speakers will be Jason A. Levine, McDermott Will & Emery LLP, and Yaron Dori, Hogan & Hartson LLP.
