The DC Bar Association is planning a CLE seminar titled Nuts and Bolts of Federal Grants Law.
The program will take place on Monday, August 27 from 6 to 9:15 p.m. at the DC Bar Conference Center, 1250 H Street, NW, Washington, DC.
The course will provide a basic understanding of federal grants law and tell participants how to find answers to their federal grants questions. Faculty members will discuss the definition of a federal grant and the differences between types of grants; the ground rules of federal grants and where to find the rules; the legal issues in grant administration, and government audits, grant disputes, fraud and abuses issues, and administrative and judicial litigation.
Speakers are Edward T. Waters, Feldsman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP, and Richard B. Stern, senior counsel and grant fraud coordinator, Office of Counsel to The Inspector General, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
