DC Bar Reviews Use Of Surveys In Trademark Litigation

In a luncheon program offered by the DC Bar on Thursday, June 23, Dr. Michael Mazis, professor emeritus of marketing at American University's Kogod School of Business, will explain how different types of surveys are used in trademark infringement cases. Mr. Mazis has provided survey expert testimony in trademark cases throughout the country and will discuss the offensive and defensive use of surveys and the pitfalls to avoid when structuring or administering a survey.

Danny Awdeh of Finnegan, Henderson Farabow Garrett and Dunner, LLP, will moderate the discussion, which is being sponsored by the Trademark Committee of the Intellectual Property Law Section.
